Sometimes I wish I could live in a box where just nothing happened. I’m becoming more and more angry with the Democrats. The word “lie” is thrown around all the time. I can’t just say “they’re lying”. It’s like circular, someone will always come back with a (rather simple minded) statement and say you’re wrong. If that makes any sense. They’re not lying. They’re deceiving. The problem with deception is it’s hard to recover from. It’s not just something that can be thought of passively. It’s down right scary that people are believing things they’re saying. It’s like a bunch of people walking around with these shields over their eyes, not even attempting to seek out truth.

That brings me to my next point — the easiest deceived are also the ones who are the most bitter about something. Like a lamb lead to the slaughter, they’re drinking in the deception. They’ve drank in the “you can’t offend anyone” juice, and now swear by it. If it only hurt themselves, it may not be so scary (only sad). However, it doesn’t just effect one person, it’ll effect a nation. Several months ago I wrote about how political correctness will destroy a nation — a people. It, in the end, leads to utter ignorance.

I’ve tried to analyze what, exactly, would happen if the Democrats would win this years election, and it’s not just “ho-hum”, business as usual, it’s down right terrifying. What I’m worried about is that a bunch of ignorant people (those who aren’t into current events) vote. I don’t honestly believe many people who stay up to date with current events could ever vote for a Democrat.

Next thing on my mind is the ignorance surrounding minimum wage. The worst thing that could happen to our economy right now would be raising it. It’d cripple our economy. We currently have a good dollar value. If the minimum wage were raised just a little, it’d take our dollar and make it down right worthless. People don’t get this. I don’t believe I fully understood this until I took economics last year. The fact that the Democrats are using this issue shouldn’t be a surprise, as many young people (who would like to work at a higher wage) will be drawn to those who will give them a few more bucks. Cheap votes, is their thinking. All the while, they don’t realize it’ll make product prices shoot through the roof overnight, and we’d have a suffering economy for quite some time. It’s horrible when you have a party that’d rather get votes, than protect the needs of its country.

To those who try to make the war their case for voting Democrat, wars were never won in a day. If it hadn’t been for a massive loss of life, we (the Allies) would never have succeeded in defeating the Axis during World War II. They’re ugly affairs, but sometimes, they must be fought.

There’s more to just who you vote for than war and how much you get paid. There’s more people that have been murdered in America than this current war overseas. Much more. This murder is legal though. It’s purely legal. The Democrats won’t support their voices. Never have Democrats, never will Democrats. These people never have a chance to vote. They never have a chance to speak their voice. Anyone that tries to justify “abortion” as a “right” is as guilty of murder as those who are committing the act. I’m still at a lose for why anyone in their right mind would support murdering of the innocent. If there’s a single reason to vote Republican, this is it. We’re giving those without a voice, a voice. However loud it may be. We cannot give up on them. They’re helpless without our help.

Finally, I leave you with another cause never to support these people: they try (and succeed many times) to control and manipulate the media. If all that doesn’t scare you, I’m not quite sure what will.

This past week has went by pretty quick. I had to work Monday, but I got off Tuesday for the Forth. I drove the family to watch fireworks. It was a pretty good 30-minute show. I didn’t get home until around 11 (and I didn’t fall asleep until 12). I’ve been reading a new book I got call, “The Burning Heart Contract” by Becky Tirabassi. It’s very good so far, although I’m not too fond of the 21-day reading (I like a sit-down and read it all, kind of book). It’s been challenging though, as the book is about committing a certain set of time each day for the rest of your life to prayer and reading the Bible. I recommend it highly … remember though, it may cost you.

I’ve got another month-and-a-half left until the fall semester starts. I’m sort of ready for it to start.

Over the past three or four days I’ve got “invitations” for MySpace … being sent to an e-mail address I don’t use publically that much. It doesn’t even show you who it is, either. After the fourth one or so, I decided to tell them to block my e-mail address. Hopefully I won’t get anymore spam from them. I met several people through the site when I was a member. Facebook is great, I’ve only met one person through it though (and she was from one of my classes). It’s just hard to meet new people. When at school, people have the phone stuck in their ears most of the time. It makes me wonder how people did 15 years ago when there weren’t any cell phones.

“Prayer in the Darkness” was pretty good. There’s already another one scheduled for the 22nd of this month. I should have called the sign up sheet a “Commitment Sheet”. I may do that, actually.

I’ve been getting sick of politics here lately. There’s several African Americans on the GOP ticket this year (more than any other year, for any party, I should add). This is a great thing. Slowly, but surely, this group of voters are finally seeing who wants the best for them. The sad thing is, many of their leaders (ie: NAACP) want to keep them poverty stricken. However, there are an increasing number of up-and-coming black leaders that are making considerable headway, and quite frankly, their sick of the garbage the DNC has thrown at them. The DNC knows this and is terrified.

The next part of politics is the democrats have succeeded in keeping DeLay on the ballot. In other words, the GOP can’t replace him with another candidate. Anyone with a brain (which seems increasingly hard to find in the world of politics), will tell you this is both unfair and dishonest business. They’ve already trashed his good reputation with things that have yet to be proven. He’s not even living in Texas anymore. I’m hoping the Texans have a brain and do the right thing — vote straight ticket Republican.

Finally, the fact that government secrets have a “right” to be leaked. If we’re attacked again, it won’t be anyone’s fault but the leakers and media. The leakers are, by all means, committing treason (read definition number 2). The media is relaying this information to the terrorists (and those who are pretty violent towards the US who are living in the US), committing espionage. The US Department of Defense Dictionary states:

The act of obtaining, delivering, transmitting, communicating, or receiving information about the national defense with an intent, or reason to believe, that the information may be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation. Espionage is a violation of 18 United States Code 792-798 and Article 106, Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Unfortunately, there’s little chance that anything will be done about any of these incidents. It’s sad that in America you can get away with this type of stuff.

Finally there’s the people out there that are sad that Ken Lay died in his home before getting to go to prison. There’s people that wish he “suffered” in prison. People need to learn that vengeance is the Lord’s. Unless we were the jury or the judge, we have no right (what so ever) to judge what should, or should not, happen to this guy. Those that lost money, they need to understand the art of forgiveness. Life isn’t fair. Things blow up and don’t go our way — those are the times we’ve got to learn to forgive and keep going. However, if everyone did this, there wouldn’t be a need for News networks, governments, or anything else. And politically correctness wouldn’t be a part of that society.

I wasn’t wanting to get too political, but I suppose I did. I’m tired of watching the news and seeing smooth talking liars leading good people down a dark, deadly path.

I wasn’t planning on writing anything here, but decided that I probably should since I’ve not written for a week or so (and I’m feeling a little random, but that’s beyond the point).

For some reason I couldn’t fall asleep last night until around 11 or 12. I’ve been getting into a good sleep routine, but last night screwed it up I fear. Maybe it didn’t — I hope, anyway.

Saturday night at 10pm is prayer night at the church. About 5 people signed up, but I’m thinking more will show (I was lame and only put five slots for some reason — I modified the later versions to include 12). The focus is supposed to be on Isaiah 43:1-44:5 and Isaiah 62. I’m not sure if that was made clear though, so maybe this will just be a prayer time. Either way, it’ll be good. Officially it doesn’t have an end time; unofficially it ends at 12. I’m ready for it! I’m hoping that I’m NOT tired that night.

Today I had to do a little public speaking. Wasn’t much to it, really (I like public speaking, only when I write what I’m speaking about). It was a good experience in a way though as I got to help people from literally around the world (this was International Officers). It was a little different, but a good different.

A week or two ago I was pumping gas and an older guy came on the opposite side and started to talk about gas prices and such. I went along at the beginning (agreeing gas prices were too high). Until he started blaming Bush and congress about gas prices and the like. He told me I should “watch the news” and such. I told him I did. Other than that, I just smiled. One of the things I’ve learned (and still am learning) is that debating draws dividers — nothing more, nothing less. Unless the other side gets a revelation of the truth (or vice-versa), there’s nothing much good that is going to happen — both sides will remain true to their case no matter what. The more defensive you are, the more bitter the debate ends. The doesn’t mean all debates are bad, but many are. I’ve thought about something I could have said to the guy, but I’ve came to the conclusion that I’m better off how I handled it — with my mouth shut.

An interesting statistic that I heard a few weeks ago that while the divorce rate in America is, sadly, at around 50%. That’s not that interesting though. The interesting statistic is that of the couples who pray and read the Bible together less than 2% of them end up in divorce. Two percent when the rest of America is 50%? Quite a large difference.

I listened to John Bevere the other night (he spoke at New Life Church again) and it was something I probably needed to listen to. To sum it up — if God calls you to do something and you decide not to do it He’ll move right on to someone else. I’ve heard many stories (a LOT of stories) about pastors who where the second and third pick (meaning God had told a few other people to start churches and they didn’t — hence he had to find someone who would). I can’t speak about it even close to as well as John Bevere put it, so it’s better to just listen to it yourself.

I got a new iPod. It’s one of those cool video ones. My case still hasn’t came yet though, so I’ve not really used it much because I don’t want to get it scratched (if possible).

I found some quotes for the prayer night on Sunday. Some of them are so awesome they need to be repeated, so here they are …

“People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.” — Proverbs 19:3 NLT

“When a Christian shuns fellowship with other Christians, the devil smiles. When he stops studying the Bible, the devil laughs. When he stops praying, the devil shouts for joy.” — Corrie Ten Boom

“It is as true today as it was in Bible times that the man who hates his sins too much will get into trouble with those who do not hate sin enough.” — A.W. Tozer

“Pray, and let God worry.” — Martin Luther

“I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go.” — Abraham Lincoln

This one wasn’t one I found (and isn’t for prayer night), but needs repeating as well:

“And why ask for wisdom if you ignore the Holy Spirit?” — Why by KJ-52

So with those quotes I end it.

Quick edit: I just switched from my closet server to the E-Blah servers (for speed and reliability reasons). Let me know if you see a noticable speed increase. Also, if there’s any issues with links let me know. I transfered it over in about a total of 15 to 20 minutes so there could be some issues (although I doubt it).

I took the Jenna and Mitchell, and Jenna’s friend Ashley to a movie tonight. Cars. I don’t do reviews too well, so I’m not going to really try now. The movie was hilarious. The movie had a very good (moral) message about selfishness. I’d love to watch it several more times before it hits DVD, which I don’t say very often. It is rated G. I think this is the first G rated movie I’ve saw in theaters in years. It was very clean, also.

I voted last Tuesday in the Alabama primaries. There was a marriage amendment for Alabama that I had to draw the little line for “Yes”. It passed with 81.24%. In other words, Alabama won’t be acknowledging any gay marriages anytime soon. The rest of the nation will soon follow suit, I’m pretty sure. This is, of course great and awesome news. Oh while on the issue of outlawing things, legalized murder will soon no longer be tolerated either (abortion for any of the pro-slaughterers out there). Things like that just take time. Just gotta wait (and pray) for Bush to pick one last judge and it’s gone. For. Good.

For anyone wondering, I, of course, voted in the Republican primaries. No way am I ever voting for those who root for the terrorists and don’t respect Godly authority and leadership (or any minority third party as they just steal votes).

I've been thinking heavily over the past day or two about the church, my city, and the evil surrounding it all. I guess I'm kind of on the verge of anger and just deep saddness. One of the things I hate so deeply is the division in the church. I hate it. I hate bad theologies that had good meaning (and are even true to an extent). I hate evil. I hate the church's passive stance on evil. When I say passive, I mean they pray a little here and there (does anyone even show up for "prayer meetings"?), but other than that it's just sweep under the rug. Evil's out there, but we're just supposed to pretend we don't see it — or pretend it's not really that bad.

Here's the truth: there are thousands of people (many church people included) that are in a sea. They're drowning. How can I say this? They're going to hell. Hell. What can I do? This city loves religion. They cherish it like a fat guy cherish's birthday cake. Just tradition: nothing more, nothing less. They go to school, work, and just life in general and they have absolutely no fruits (of the spirit). They're so blinded. They think all they have to do is say "Jesus I lub u, come into me hert". THAT'S NOT WHAT BEING A CHRISTIAN IS!

One theological element I'm talking about here is that of "once saved, always saved". It's enveloped this city. They live by it. It's sending them to hell, too. They're dying because a church wants membership. All the while, the enemy is sitting back — enjoying the blind ignorance of the people.

It makes me want to cry. I hate it. Then there's denominations. I'll be overjoyed when it's not "what denomination are you" and instead "are you a Christian, saved by Christ Jesus". The church isn't the baptist denomination. It isn't the Methodist church. Stop playing church politics. Church isn't a place for politics. Period. Politics plays such a large role in church. I've saw over the years how politics ruin things.

"Once saved, always saved" can be true — to an extent. Once you're saved, you have to give your life to God. You'll always be saved IF you keep that. It's an if-then-else. Not just a simple if. If you give God your life and remain in him, then you're always saved; else you're not and you're not of God. If-then-else. Remember that.

It's like throwing a life-preserver over a boat and then when the person who needed saving gets the preserver the thrower just lets go of the string and the boat leaves. What good is it then?! That's just like planting a seed and never giving it water. Perhaps another ship will come by, but what if they don't?

In other words, you just planted a seed in that person's heart that they're "eternally secure". You've just lied to them. Now they're going off drifting — doing all the things of the world, not set apart at all. When they die they'll say: "I thought once I was saved, I was always saved". They'll be denied because of an eternal lie. Very, very bad.

I've came to the conclusion that this city can't be saved until religion is first broken. Maybe I'm wrong, I accept it if I am. Until the walls of religion are broken in this city, it's going to be that much harder to reach the unsaved saved. They think they're saved — but they aren't. I'm not judging people. Those who are really, genuinely seeking God (even though they do screw up all the time) — I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the ones who think they're saved, but they can live however they want to during the week.

On the subject of denomination's, we need to live this song by Disciple, I Just Know. Who cares if we get in the aisles and dance? Who care's if someone worships a little different? Who cares if we pace during worship. Who cares if we raise our hands? I love a quote I heard a few days ago: "dignity is NOT a fruit of the spirit".

Something else that I never really thought of — back in Jesus day a lot of babies were slaughtered. The enemy knew Jesus was the one who was to defeat him so he wanted him to die. He missed, but a great sin had been committed and a lot of innocent babies were slaughtered. The enemy has been trying to do it again through what's called "abortion".

Revolution. I've heard that word used by several people over the past few weeks. Non-Christians are throwing around the word, as are Christians. All I can say is this — if the non-Christians get their way — there's going to be chaos. Entire chaos. Like riot chaos. There's only a few more years. The politics have to go. The pride has to go. The church has to get back to what it's meant to do — lead people to Jesus.

We — this generation – are tired of luke-warm church. We want meat. We're tired of milk. We're tired of shallow sermons. We're tired of shallow people. We've saw more, we know more, we think more. We're ready to have a dirty faith — a faith that goes all out for Jesus. We're tired of little games. We're ready for truth. We're hungry for truth. It's not impossible — it may just mean that some peoples egos may get hurt. A little more humbleness never hurt anyone (minus the one being humbled). It's a bloody field, are we going to go and help the sick? Or are we just going to watch them die? It's a yes or no question. Not a yes, maybe, or no.

Today I was getting my daily dish of news (first from Drudge Report and later from SRN). The headlines was the "NSA Wiretapping" thing. I think USA Today has been living in an area of the world without Internet, TV, or radio for the past six or seven months. The news that "broke" today was "broke" months ago by the NYT. It was as stupid then as it is now. Nothing has changed between then and now. What's even more foolish is how people get in a hissy fit about this. Are people so ignorant they don't even read the full article? They're tracking phone numbers to see the incoming and outgoing calls, making sure it's not going to terrorist organizations (not getting your address and name, etc). I highly doubt they'll care if you take to your wife or girlfriend about dinner. It should be clear: they aren't using it for anything more … they aren't breaking down all the druggies doors, are they? It's not cross-America tracking.

Traffic doesn't bother me. Other people that love to go 20 MPH over the limit tick me off. I'm going the limit (and sucking down less fuel in the process) … if I slam on breaks, I don't want to have an Intrepid plowing into me. Why can't people obey to law and just go the limit? When passing people — and going over the limit — always try to check for cops. Don't start edging past and then see the cop and slow down 10MPH under the limit. The cop might pull you over for going to slow. Be smart — go the limit.

Murder. I guess it's obvious, most sane people should hate murder, right? Well, most do. The guy that was in college, going to research a cure for cancer. He was given the cure, he was going to college to be able to prove it and put it to use. Sadly, this was one of the 47 million people killed 21 years ago by "abortion" (you can't really "abort" a life). Even worse is there are people trying to put legality to the murder. It's not a right to murder someone. I guess I honestly got a pure hatred for it when I listened to the JHOP podcast a week ago. The one that got me was the girl who lost twin brothers by abortion. It's an evil practice and it shouldn't be stopped, it MUST be stopped. Why are people so blind?

Liberal propaganda is lame and much (most) of it is evil. They accept ideas that go in direct opposition to the Bible. Abortion. Homosexuality. List goes on …

Text books that use the words: bigot, fanatic, dogma, etc. If you want creditability — never use these words. It makes you look like an ignoramus. You're going to make people read your propaganda anyway — why use words that discredit all your work? Personal blogs don't count. Don't put it in a text book. Especially if you want people to believe anything you say from that point forward.

Scientists who are still stuck on trying to prove things that have been disproven countless times look funny. It makes them come off as coo-key. After a while, you'd think they'd try to come up with a better "solution" to the earths creation (while, of course, still trying to disprove the provable). Come up with something about more than, "oh, it was millions of years". Not all are so funny — some are serious and further technology and do things worthwhile — like find cures for things.

Loneliness.

I think that's about all for now. I'll have to post the things I love one day. I don't hate the people doing these things … I just hate the actions of these people. Just wanted to make that clear.

The news hasn’t held my interest as much lately as it normally does; however, I’ve still been trying to keep on top of the most important items in the news. I have been keeping track of Iran and the entire track they are taking with obtaining nuclear weapons. Today it was publicized that Iran has began its uranium enrichment. For those that do not know, uranium enrichment is one of the key factors in developing nuclear weapons. The Iranian President has called for, as most of the Islamic countries, the destruction of Israel. To put a long story short, if something does not change soon – there will be no more “diplomacy” talk. It will be war talk. Ariel Sharon ordered on December 11, “to be ready by the end of March for possible strikes on secret uranium enrichment sites in Iran” (source). Nonetheless, things are being set in motion that once are in motion cannot humanly be taken out of motion.

In other news, the man still bitter about losing the election in 2000 has gone to Saudi Arabia and bad mouthed the United States. Fortunately, what he said was not even correct. Unfortunately, these kinds of lies only stir up Middle Eastern Muslims into rioting and murder. Just to think: people wanted him as President of the United States. Are these people being paid by other governments to just badmouth the US? Do they think it makes them look good? My, I sure hope not. These people do not look even close to “good”.

It appears that I haven’t posted to my blog in two weeks or so. I believe that is a record. I’m not sure, but what’s it mater, I’m posting now. A lot has been going on over the past few days, so I have a reason (or do I?) for not posting. At the beginning of this week, I had two papers to write (one I just edited, but it was still work).

On Thursday, I helped at church with building the little place where the computer is going to be located. When I got home afterwards, the remaining parts of the church computer were waiting at the door. Therefore, I took a while, built the computer, and installed everything it needed. I have to admit, the parts that are in the computer – I have never worked with four of the pieces of hardware. I built my computer with secondhand hardware about a year ago (in March 2005, I believe), and at that time, the Socket T (775) was not even out yet. There was not anything different since I have installed countless Socket 478.

Continuing in the subject of computers, I have seemed to be working on increasingly more computers lately. I enjoy working on them and helping people out. I wish I could do a start up computer repair shop around here. Never know, I guess, it could happen. There seems to be more activity with working online with Internet work lately too, and it has helped monetarily.

I finished The Visitation last week. Author Frank Peretti put a lot of work in creating a relatable story of an ex-pastor who had problems with the church – someone whom changes from more of a bitter person to one of humbleness and dependence on God at the end. The main story incorporates another story of the ex-pastors younger life starting from his early days as a Christian up to college and meeting his wife all the way, up to where the story was to that point. The ending was not exactly something expected either.

In class on Wednesday, we discussed a story that we read (actually I’m not entirely sure where we’re at on the syllabus, so I didn’t read it). The story, Harrison Bergeron, is a great example of how lame the world would be if political correctness lead the American people. As the story puts it, “everybody was finally equal”. If someone did not have a handicap to make them equal, the government made sure you did (as not to corrupt the others). Intelligence was like an ignorant bliss. While I thought the story was not that tasteful, there is some truth in it. Political correctness is one of the major terrorisms of our time. Do not offend people? If you offend someone it is like you are evil and looked down upon. There are fine lines between intentionally offending someone, don’t get me wrong. However, in life there are times when people are going to be offended (sometimes speaking out of love to someone about a problem they’re having that’s sinful could offend someone, for example). The truth is, with political correctness there’s this false sense of “peace” – but there’s no peace. Instead of overfeeding someone while they’re around, people just do it when they’re not around.

A few people out there would like to see just what America would look like if liberals ruled it (putting “ruled it” lightly). This story by Kurt Vonnegut explains exactly what America would look like – an ignorant dictatorship ruled by rulers who control their subjects every move, idea, thought, feeling, emotion … put simply: their entire life. Thankfully, I think a few people are seeing how they can pull their handicaps off and get out of the liberal mindset. Unfortunately, there are still many people with their handicaps … and it seems like some enjoy theirs a little too much. I just hope they’ll see the light one day …

Christmas break is coming to a close. I go back to school tomorrow. I’ve spent the last day of my vacation reading “This Present Darkness“. I’ve liked all of Frank Perettis other books, but I never thought it’d be like this one. This book is awesome. I’m a slow reader so it takes me a while to read long books … I only got about 115 out of about 370 pages down, but the book is awesome. It’s making me think a little more about the importance of prayer in a way I’ve never thought about. I know prayer is important, but I guess I’ve never saw, thought, or know how important.

The past week or two has been awesome. I can’t explain why, because I don’t know why. I’m more content about things, purhaps. I’m not sure.

Living Water Worship Center made a reading list for the church of scriptures to read through each month so that, by the end of the year, all of the New Testement will be read. There are also two memory verses each month, of while I’ll be trying to memorize, but I’m bad at memorization. Maybe there’s no excuse though. I am trying though. Last night I read from Matthew 1 to 10, it was a great read. I highlight parts of the text I feel is good to re-read later … so last night I highlighted too much. Good read.

I’ve been trying to fix a few things with MinistryTalk.com as of the past few days. I got a little done, but I’m out of ideas for now, sadly. Hopefully I can figure something I can do with it. Hopefully Tim is able to help out some too.

So anywho … I leave everyone with this awesome video found over here. Enjoy.

Christmas was great. I got some gifts, but overall I liked just spending time with family (at my home). Yesterday we all went to Montgomery and exchanged a few things (and this and that). There were few sales, that I saw, though. I got a Starbucks giftcard and used it, though. That was the quickest I had ever paid for something in my life.

Jonathan came over today and I checked out his new video iPod. Very nice. I put him some pictures and some music videos on it.

Last night I watched Minority Report. I had watched it before, it had just been a while. The movie has a good message to it, but I think the message is a little deep for some people who are not actually following the movie. Of course, like all movies, it has some negative aspects, but this one was well written. A good review can be found here.

Alright, for the past few days, I’ve been thinking about something that’s very interesting. I was watching the History Channel not too long ago about the American presidents. I found something very interesting about one of our Presidents. Andrew Jackson — the 17th president, also the founder of the Democratic Party. In this special on the History Channel, they stated that Jackson said he could never forgive some things that were said about his wife (something about her devorice from her other husband). I didn’t really think a lot about it, until I got to really thinking about how much the democratic party today is almost soley based upon that one item — unforgiveness. I’m not trying to be stereotypical, but I’ve found that those with more bitterness towards a certain people, race, agenda, or idea generally tends to be a part of the democratic party. Not all of the time, of course, but most of the time. What was said then about his wife probably shouldn’t have been said (which caused such bitterness), but it was. Past is past, and cannot be changed. It was the indirect (or possibly the direct) cause of the split between the then republican party to the democratic party. This is evident in many more ways that one. In the 2000 election President Bush won the majority of what he had to win (the electoral college). No matter how it was played — Bush won. The hatred for the President today has been a direct result of that. The Democrats believe they won and they’re bitter about it. Fully bitter. There are a lot of other examples that can be made here — from social groups, to racial groups, to any other group that votes democrat. The vast majority vote based on bitterness or unforgiveness. Forgiveness, as defined by the dictionary, is a pardon. Forgiveness hurts no one. Bitterness can literally torment a person until the day that they die. Jesus says in Mark 11:25 that “when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” It’s quite obvious if we can’t learn to forgive others, we can’t be forgiven. If we can’t be forgiven, then we still will be judged guilty on that day of judgement. There will be no pardon if we can’t pardon those who’ve done things against us.

I posted my final exam essay a few days ago, so now I’ve decided to post one of the best papers (I think) that I have ever written. I got an A+ on it, so obviously the teacher thought it was good too. For some reason when I closed it on the last edit, I forgot to save my edits. Thus, a few corrections were not included, so some stuff may not be perfect (I’ve attached an updated version). This was a documented essay, so I site my sources at the end. Here’s an excerpt:

The media affects our daily lives in numerous ways – from television to radio to print. Sometimes these media avenues persuade our opinions on certain issues – such as abortion, homosexuality, racism, and political. Numerous times throughout history the media has downplayed bias, which simply means prejudiced*.

Media bias dates back to the early days of the newspaper and continues to this present day*. There are many examples throughout history showing biased media. Benjamin Franklin wrote a great example of early media bias in 1728 when he wrote an article in favor of printing paper money. Franklin did not specify he would be one of the beneficiaries, in terms of business, in printing the money*. Sometimes such bias pushed the political leaders of the time to limit the freedom of press, as did Abraham Lincoln when he ordered many newspapers, in favor of the South during the American Civil War era, to shutdown operation*. There are countless times in history where the media has been bias towards one particular point of view.

Click here to download the PDF version of this document (rough draft). I’d love to see some comments on what others think about this! Documented areas in the excerpt was indicated with an asterisk (*).

I decided to go back and redo my corrections, so here is the final version (there may be some I overlooked, though): Media Bias and How it Affects Us (Final).

So I got up, went to school, came home, went to my grand parents and grannys, then game back home. I did nothing of value today (or did I?). I did fix a bug or two with E-Blah I think. Today was cold and rainy. It wasn’t that fun. I like driving in the rain, it’s just that I don’t feel too comfortable using cruise control with it raining. Speaking of which, my cruise control has a mind of it’s own. It’ll all of a sudden just speed up and then forcefully kick itself off for no apparent reason. And then sometimes it just refuses to work. It’s not that bad, it’s just annoying, and without it I slowly creep up with my speed. I sure wouldn’t want to get pulled over and tell the officer my cruise control didn’t work that day. Haha.

Tomorrow is the last day of this week for school. Then it’s Thanksgiving time and then sales – friday (maybe Amazon and Newegg will have some sort of deals). I’ll probably go shopping with the family that day, although I’ll probably get nothing.

Ah, I know what I want for Christmas …

Tomorrow I turn in the first part of my math final [that took me hours to do]. I’m hoping to get an A on it. I looked back over it today and it looked like I did good on it. I think after a while of doing certain problems, some can be relooked over and figured out easier. The algebra is the toughest part of it all, but I think I learned more doing the final than I did in class when we were [quickly] going over the material. I’ve finally got certain things I didn’t get, so that’s good.

I played some Age of Empires 3 again tonight; it appears like ESO finally has fixed the servers. I’ve been getting disconnected a lot less frequently now, fortunatly. It’s understandable I suppose.

I’ve not been able to sleep good these past few nights for some reason (so right now I’m really tired). Maybe the chocolate I eat before bed sometimes keeps me up all night. I probably should eat it in the morning for it to be of more benifit to me. Chocolate is one of my favorite foods.

As I look over to my right I am reminded of our countries heritage — per my American Calendar. The bad part about it is that the picture has been up for the past two months. I change it like once every 3 months. Gotta love it.

Ah, this reminds me. I should haven’t thought about it, but I did. A guy today durring class presented his “project” for our music class. Now while he was reading it he was passively putting in his cheezy anti-American propaganda, but I was just listening. Before he played his “music” selection he gave a little speach about how we should “listen to the lyrics” of his anti-American hate song (it was an anti-war song speaking of how the government lies and how there’s blood all over the place). At first I was just mad. The song came on: I was ticked. I was extremely close to walking out. I’m sick of people sitting passively by while people degrade our military. I’m sick of people in the church sitting passively by when prayer is taken out of schools, when the ten commandments is stolen away from our court houses where they’ve been for hundreds of years (and yes, I am guilty too). I’m sick of it. I’m sick of people sitting there just watching like they’re doing something good in life by seeing our heritage stolen away. While I was mad, I also remember that I should pray for him. See, if I grew up in the back ground he has, I’m pretty sure I’d feel the same way about our military. What I prayed, though, was not just for him, but all of the anti-war people. I pray that the lies and distortion from the media be cut down. I prayed that it would come out to pass in a way so real that not one of the people in congress — even republicans — can refute the evidence for the president. I prayed that by the end of President Bush’s term he’ll come out the most liked president in all of American history. The media as we know it will change soon. A lot of peoples ticked off. The Anti-American and Anti-Christian hate speach filling the air waves of America will be undermised. They will be the underdog. The bitterness and hatered that has been rooted deep down in the media over President Bush’s win in Florida in 2000 will be the demise of the liberal media. Far out liberals will be defeated in their states. Those who stand for morals will stand strong (this does include a few democrats). This has got to the best Talking Points memo I’ve heard in a while.

I’m going to pray until it changes — it will change. It’s changing soon.

Wow, while I was writting this I was thinking about the song “Underdog” by Audio Adrenaline (and how I was gonna listen to it when I got done editing it). Right after I saved it (this is an edit), the song came on ChristianRock.net (which hasn’t came on in quite some time, as it’s an old song). Just thought that was a little too … coincidence.

And that’s my post. Time for bed!

So life’s good.

I turned on the news and low and behold they know where Judge Alito stands on “abortion”. So they talk about it for a while, which was something written like 15 years ago, and then they get this woman who essentially says, “We’ve been able to legally kill our babies for the past 40 years, this judge can’t take away our women rights and let us stop this practice!” Now I’ve got to agree with her, they have been murdering their babies for a while. Actually she didn’t actually say that, but hey — that’s what they’re doing, and they do feel it’s a right to do so. Heck, just because my sin nature might like to do things that are not right, that doesn’t make it right. I guess it all goes back to what I’ve been talking about in other entries. Sadly, these women right people still either haven’t done their research or are living in denial too far for me to phatom. Wow … way out there.

The message last night at church was on when to confront things. One of the things that really stuck out that Chris said was that sacrifice isn’t (*gasp*) giving God your sin. Now for some reason I’ve heard all these people always saying (or maybe just alluding to) that giving a sacrifice to God is giving God your sin. So I thought about it for a few minutes, giving God a sacrifice can be pretty much anything. Giving God a habbit, making time for Him, giving God what’s his (10% — and yes, this is Biblical, and don’t try to justify that it’s not for you), or basically anything else. An awesome quote, that kind of fits along these lines, is by Yoda: “Let go of everything you fear to lose”. This is something we must do. We must be willing to give God everything — even things we may fear to lose. We should not be fearful of losing anything.

On the blog I’ve added a plugin that allows anyone to subscribe to this blog. This means that everytime I update the blog those on the subscription list is notified. Subscribing takes less than 10 seconds … if there is any problems just e-mail me.

Among other things, my cars sunroof is finally fixed. It’s good to have it working. My cruise control, though, has decided to work when it wants to. Sometimes it’ll work fine. Sometimes it won’t set at all. Sometimes when I set it, it keeps increasing speed until it literally forces itself off (it’s not the gradual letting off of the gas). Hopefully it’ll start working right soon.

It’s hard to imagine almost — another year almost come and gone. It seems just like yesterday that I graduated. Time really flys by as you get older. Thanksgiving will be here oh, so soon. Finals will be here soon (although I’m not really thinking much about those yet). While I just turned 19, it seems like it was just a months ago that I was 16 getting my drivers license. Tim posted this picture on his blog:

Ah, a Christmas countdown, what we always needed.

The days seem so much shorter now due to daylight savings time. I wake up automatically thirty to sixty minutes earlier than I need to be up now. Hopefully I can adjust to the new time soon. Why ever this post started off this way I do not know, but oh well.

Important matters. George Bush nominated one of the best judges to replace O’Conner on the Supreme Court. I guess this means the “other side” is wishing they would have shut their traps about Harriet Miers. They can’t say that Samuel Alito is not qualified. Well, they can, but they’d be far wrong; which when have they been far right? Exactly. Also I see the democrats are trying to draw the attention back to themselves with this “secret” meeting they’re having — that not many people really care about. I truely think only the liberal media has fun with these propaganda stunts. That’s another subject in itself, though.

The lies being broadcast on the airwaves by the left are false, and are put out there to lead the people that are NOT engaged in any politics what-so-ever in a mindset that judicial laws will be “taken away” (womens rights, for example). This is ludacris. Anyone believing that crap shouldn’t be allowed to vote. For some reason I’m not sure why I passed all of my U.S. Government classes in High School. I mean, when I read the constitution and all (and I did do so, by the way), I got that the Judicial Branch was supposed to interpret the law. I know it’s not a new admendment, because last time I was in class (today, actually) we still had 27 amendments. Even a new amendment would mean that an entire branch of the government would be taken out and be completely rewritten by an amendment. I highly doubt any states are going to approve of such an amendment. In other words — the judical branch, sorry to say, doesn’t make the law. As much as some senators would like them to, they don’t. Alito will be confirmed, the opponents just need to face the honest facts and accept their defeat.

I wouldn’t doubt that by 2010 abortion is struck down by the courts. At that time it’ll be a matter of doing what was required in the first place — making a law by congress. Needless to say, abortion “rights” activists aren’t too happy now because of the fact they know they’ll never be able to get the support they need for such a law. Period.

In other news, men are not longer the authority in the household. It’s been “thrown out the window ages ago”. Obviously this is one of the lamest and stupidest statements I’ve heard in quite some time. Some woman said the statement in response to why men do not have the right to know if their wife is having an “abortion”. Sadly, she’s not looked at my family and many, MANY other families I know. Nor has she looked at what The Holy Bible says about the issue, as it is completely opposite of the statements she made.

Other items in my life … Pastor Chris is coming over Thursday night. I really can’t wait for church tomorrow night. I missed church at LWWC Sunday night for a service at Saugahatchee honoring the pastor and his family and my granny. The service that night wasn’t too bad though.

Tomorrow is my “oral report”. I hope it’s good and I talk loud enough for everyone. I hate getting up in front of people with a passion. The class is the largest one I have with about 50 people.

This past week or so has been good. Didn’t do much … actually I programmed a LOT. I got the Age of Empires 3 game, and then I played it. That’s about it. Church was awesome on Wednesday — talked about what it takes to be a Christian leader today. It was pure discussion, that’s always fun. I’ve been working on another site recently that allows churches to add their sermons/messages online so people can download them. I hope some churches hurry up and apply …

Really though I want to rant. Today I turned on the news for like 30 to 45 minutes and all I heard was stuff about Libby. Personally, I don’t care about that crap. Secondly it sounded to me like it was more of a he said/she said thing than anything. Sounds like there is little to no truth in everything. Just someone trying to accuse someone else of something they didn’t do. I guess we’ll find out — but again, who cares? Why does my money get wasted on something like this?! Very lame. I hope his remarks about it come true though.

Next item … I love history. I learned stuff today about the early colonies and such. Jamestown, the first American colony, was founded in 1607 … in 1611 church became a requirement — by law. Now that’s all well and good … but concidering that before 1611 the colony was doing pretty bad and most had died, that says something. In the years to come it would birth the country known today as America. Oh, and Pocahontas became a Christian and changed her name to Rebecca. For some reason, I never got that part of history in my books.

My old church was on Dateline tonight, it was alright. At least NBC tried to get both sides … I guess. The only thing is so many people stereotype people and church (as a whole) before they go by what they see or have heard on TV. The truth is, when you’re in God’s presense, sometimes you might just do things you wouldn’t “normally” do, and being your first time … they might look weird from the outside. But if you’re on the inside, then you know without a doubt that what you’re seeing and expeirencing is real. No one can tell you diffrently.

Finally, I’ve been thinking … and I realize now that overall people seem to keep certain things as “you don’t discuss” material. The politically incorrect stuff, just keep them to yourself. The problem is, they’ve got to be discussed. That’s a thought I probably need to work more though …

I’m tired, I need some rest.

On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was signed and marked the day of American independence from Great Britain. Since then we’ve had to fight many battles to keep this nation the land of the free. Over 200 years ago our nation was in war, people were dying left and right for the freedom we so enjoy today. Had it not been for many brave men, America as we know it would not be.

On September 13, 1814 our nations national anthem was written by Francis Scott Key. Everytime it is played the hair on my arms perk up. I just can’t comprehend what those people did while the British were attacking Fort McHenry. A guy, Francis Scott Key, who was opposed to the war wrote some of the most powerful lyrics ever written about a nation — in what’s now our nations anthem.

And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

If that flag had fallen, our nation would have fallen, and all that is today would not be. Our troops, our founding fathers, they deserve all of our respect and admeration this 4th of July. Many, many parents lost their children in the War of 1812 (1812-1814), but they were proud. They fought until they died to create, to protect, to keep this nation from the oppression it had left behind. They fought so we could be free. Our flag still stands — and our flag, our banner, it waves.

Another day in the life of me. Exciting, huh?

Scho … wait, I ain’t in school yet. Work, ah work, was pretty good today. It was so much warmer in there … actually, it was my jacket that we helping keep me warm, but that’s besides the point. The military had the day off today because of the 4th of July things going on, so I had nothing to do — as did the other guys I work with. At about 1:40PM or so, we all being bored, decided to play boxball. If you don’t know what the office game, boxball is, then keep reading. You get this box, a Cat 6 network cable box, to be exact, and then set it with the hole upright. Then you get 4 balls that are all diffrent types (like some bounce … and then some don’t — like the hacky sac), you get those balls and try to make the really small hole at the top of the box. I never mad it, but I didn’t play much — I just watched the other 5 to 7 people do it. I think 9 people did it in all or something. Pretty cool. We played it for … oh … about 40 minutes. And then it went back to boredom. But hey, it was 2:20, and that meant 30 more minutes and I was out of there. I got in early, so I left early.

I got home … didn’t do much … we left to go back to Montgomery at around 5:40 or so. The reason? Star Wars was showing on the base theater. It’s cheaper, and hey, what else did I have to do? Exactly. It was just as good the second time … just as sad too, though. I went with my dad and brother, Jonathan.

Tomorrow I’m probably going to Montgomery again to watch War of the Worlds. I’m not sure who I’m going with yet, though. But what’s new there?

It’s July 1st … wait, it’s almost July 2nd … either way, it’s July now. Just 2 days until our fine nations independence day. Before the movie tonight they ran our National Anthem (as it’s an Air Force Base). The hair on my arms always raises when I hear it. I just can’t comprehend what those people did while the British were attacking Fort McHenry. And a guy, Francis Scott Key, who was opposed to the war wrote some of the most powerful lyrics ever written about a nation — in what’s now our nations anthem.

They fought so we could be free — and our flag, our banner, it waves.

I’m struggling to keep my eyes open, so I think I need to head on bed.
